It’s a grey day here in Joey land. It’s been snowing all day, and doesn’t show a single sign of stopping. It’s the kind of day you want to curl up inside in your pj’s with a good book. Or maybe your knitting. I was able to finish these things of beauty this morning.
They are plain ol’ stockinette socks, but knit in a wonderful handspun that makes them quite special. These are the socks I will be wearing on Christmas day. After finishing the knitting I had a few other things to attend to – kids and husbands like to be fed every now and then y’know? So it wasn’t until the afternoon that I got to grafting up the toe, weaving in the ends, and then amusing myself taking pictures by the tree. I wanted to take some outside with the new snow, but it is very wet out, and I didn’t want to soak my new socks. Here’s a snow shot instead.
Having completed that bit of fun I immediately dragged out a sock book and my next ball of yarn and started on these.
Ok, gives you no idea as to the pattern, but it was 4;00 and the light (what little there was to begin with) was starting to fade. It was this picture or no picture. And now, back to the socks. It’s just that kind of day.
