Sunday Joey and I went over to Victoria Park in Kitchener. It is a lovely old park, and the nearest to our house, so we are there quite a bit. This time I took my camera. For all you nature lovers, here is what we saw.
The view across the lake to the gazebo on the island.
Where there is water there are ducks.
Old park means lovely old trees.
The Queen Anne’s Lace is in full bloom right now.
Victoria Park is a popular place for various festivals and gatherings throughout the year. Most weekends throughout the summer there is something going on. This weekend was no exception.
For all you meat lovers here is what we saw.
Ribfest! Haha, you were expecting something cultural weren’t you? Sorry.
Each vendor had these giant signs. If you like graphic design mixed with hype you will love these.
I thought Fire Island’s was the best.
There were lots of little kitschy signs too. You know I love ’em.
With apologies to all the vegetables out there.
It was hot on Sunday. Everyone manning the grills must have been cooking themselves.
Each vendor displays their trophies out front of their grill. This was the coolest one. He looks kind of familiar.
Can you see all that sauce dripping down the front of that grill? Mmm… sauce….
Apparently meat and beer draws a crowd.
Because I know you were wondering what we ate. Yeah, it was good thanks.
