After stuffing and assembling all those tubes, look who showed up.

The tall green gentleman on the left is Phillip. He would like you to know that he enjoys afternoon tea, tidying up and reading Agatha Christie novels.
The shorter blue monster is Phillip’s associate, Mr Grumm. He would like you to get out of his way.
Phillip and Mr Grumm are both knit in the round. The samples were knit using Indigodragonfly’s sock yarns, but you could use any weight you like – you will just get bigger monsters. Whether that is a good thing or not is up to you. These patterns are meant for an intermediate level knitter – if you can knit socks you can easily make this pair. They each require about 50g of sock yarn, eyes and some stuffing. They knit up fairly quickly since most of the knitting is just stockinette in the round. There is no real seaming, but you do have to attach the ears and appendages.
The pattern is available now on Ravelry. To celebrate, Joey’s House is having a sale! use to coupon code pandmrg1 any time between now and midnight on July 22 and recieve $1.00 off any Joey’s House Monster patten of your choice. I’ve also started a Ravelry group for Joey’s House. Stop by if you have a minute!

Love these guys – how come you haven’t blogged lately

[...] A Study in Scraps: Sock #1. I used up 79g of hanging about sock yarn on these, woot! The purple is Koigu KPPPM – it was that hang around skein that just appeared in the stash one day, that I never knew what to do with. The yellow is Indigodragonfly Merino Sock – it was leftover from Phillip and Mr. Grumm. [...]
